• We are proud to partner with the City of Youngsville and Mayor Ken Ritter to connect S. Bernard Road/W. Fairfield Drive to Fortune Road. The project will provide a new arterial to alleviate traffic congestion and decrease commute times.
  • The Broussard City Council voted unanimously to approve the purchase of a new aerial ladder truck for the Broussard Fire Department. The new fire truck will replace the existing one, which has been in service for 19 years. It will come equipped with a 107 foot ladder, allowing for an additional 30 feet of vertical reach.
  • Plans have been released for public bid of the La Neuville Road reconstruction between Bonin Road and Hwy. 89. Reconstruction work is estimated to begin in January of 2023.
  • Recently, Louisiana Speaker of the House Clay Schexnayder and Lafayette Economic Development Authority President & CEO Mandi Mitchell spent time with us in Broussard. We met with the leadership team at SafeSource Direct PPE manufacturing plant, toured their facility and spoke about future growth opportunities.

The visitors were here to celebrate the Grand Réveil Acadien / Great Acadian Awakening and participate in a re-twinning ceremony.
  • The Broussard Chamber of Commerce hosted its first-ever Jambalaya Cook-off, part of the Music on Main event that was held at Arceneaux Park in conjunction with the Grand Réveil Acadien 2022 festivities.

  • The Broussard Sports Complex hosted roughly 7,000 visitors and a total of 79 teams for the Battle of the Boot youth soccer tournament.
  • The Broussard Fire Department celebrated National Fire Prevention Month. The department made visits to schools and daycares across Broussard to teach students the importance of fire safety and having a home fire escape plan.
