Mayor Ray BourqueAfter serving as District 3 City Councilman for eight years, Mayor Ray Bourque was elected in November 2018 and took office in January 2019. He has deep roots in the community and strives to serve with the best interests of the citizens and businesses of Broussard at heart. Mayor Bourque is a lifelong resident of Broussard, a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a local business owner. He was a Board Member of the Broussard Chamber of Commerce for eight years and has also served as the Board President. 

As a businessman, he brings those same values to the office of Mayor, demanding fiscal responsibility and excellence in service and accountability. Since taking office, he has focused on improving city infrastructure, smart economic development, and revitalizing our historic downtown. It is our Mayor’s philosophy that when we invest in ourselves and are easy to do business with, then others will invest in our city.

It is Mayor Bourque’s vision to serve his community and foster healthy growth for our city, and he believes that we will accomplish more together as TEAM Broussard.
